Outback Steakhouse is an example of a restaurant business that has excelled at all levels of food service success. The Outback concept was cooked up in the late nineteen eighty's and from that single store in the state of Florida it has become a huge corporation with thousands of units across the county. The success of this company stems from its very ridged enforcement of consistency. Outback Steakhouses are all alike. If you like going to the Outback in city A and you whined up in city B you can still get the same feel and food there that you would in city A. I have worked in an Outback kitchen once and I did get a lot out of it. That place taught me all about consistency and moving my ass. When people come around and they get the food and drink they want the same way every time that will increase customer satisfaction. When people are satisfied proprietors see an increase in profits. The cookie-cut Outback model is very efficient and a great example of success, but the monotony really puts me out. Consistency is key but I think it is important to offer a level of uniqueness as well.

  1. One little link isn't linking up at the top there Jose. It might be because it is from Proquest which is a subscription service. Did you try to link it?
